‘Bravery, above and beyond the call of duty’. This is usually the way awards for great accomplishments are presented. We thank God for those who perform these deeds, but what of the myriads of those who only ‘stand, and wait’?

On Armed Forces Day, America honors her brave citizens who serve in our armed forces in whatever capacity they are called upon to fill. It matters not whether in the front lines or in the rear echelons, they are all doing that which is necessary to preserve the peace and safety so many of their fellow citizens often take for granted.

While dissidents may garner headlines, it is those who serve, who bring about victory. May God bless and watch over those in our Armed Forces and bring them safely home to their families.
