LET ANGELS PROSTRATE FALL

Heb 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Let us try to catch God's enthusiasm concerning His Son.
Consider how rarely our enthusiasm for anything can be sustained; Unfinished projects in drawers, back yards, closets and garages. Yet , life with Christ at its center CAN sustain zeal because 'every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before!' God's zeal for His Son is eternal. Are we harder to please than God?

I. Even the pictures or types of His Son were to be presented with fanfare.
Num 10:10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.

II. Prophecies concerning Him have an air of joyous expectancy.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

III. The fanfare at His birth was ALL by His Father.
A. Man lit no fireworks nor fired 21 gun salutes, but the Father lit a star for Him.
Mat 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

B. Man did not shout, "Long live the king!" at his birth but heaven's angels shouted His praises.
Luke 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

C. Men would have been content to continue to offer animal sacrifices, but God sent the ultimate offering and a man to announce it.
John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

D. Men have tried to silence Him, but the Father declared Him
Mat 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

E. Men would have executed Him as a common criminal, but God made His crucifixion so unusual that even the Roman Centurion was forced to acknowledge Him!
Mat 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

F. Men would have spread false stories about His absence from the tomb, but God sent His angels to announce;
Mat 28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
Mat 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

G. Men would like to be done with Christ, but God gave His Church the message to proclaim, "He is coming again!"
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

IV. We cannot fully understand God's excitement for His Son until we get a glimpse of His love for man.
A. Man is His crowning creation.
1. Man is the ONLY living creature made in God's image.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
2. Man was ruined by sin.

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
3. He is controlled by a depraved nature and the spirit of satan.

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of
wrath, even as others.
4. Yet loved by the Father
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

B. His own Son will redeem His creatures!
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

V. His excitement is even more infectious when we see redeemed man's present and future possibilities through Christ.
A. Laborers together with God!

1 Cor 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
Picture redeemed man and his creator working side by side in Gods vineyard!

B. Permitted to be a member of the Body of Christ!
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
C. To contemplate the glories yet ahead should put us on shouting ground!
Phil 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
