I am sure that some have been wondering if I am going to comment on the tragedy to our nation and particularly to the Gulf States.
There are those who have already stated unequivocally that it is all a judgment by God. Personally, I have no way of knowing whether or not this is true. What I do know for sure is, that as the coming of Christ for His people draws nearer, such events will increase in frequency and severity. Judgment? I don’t know. What I do know is that God is trying to get man’s attention. All that happens from now until the time of the rapture, are but precursors of things far worse which will occur during the Tribulation Period which follows.
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Along with the rest of the world, I have been awe-stricken at the devastation and human suffering in the past few months. As I view it all daily on my TV, I am constantly reminded of this Biblical fact; The worst is yet to come! Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Several years ago I preached a message I called ‘Tribulation is Coming - I’m Leaving!" I praise God for this promise; Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
When His judgment is poured out on this earth, I don’t expect to be here, but will be present with the Lord. How about you?
When He comes will you be ready to go?
